It's Tuesday. And I still may have won. I haven't checked my ticket yet...purposely. It's a sort of bizarro-Buddhist delayed gratification thing (more like delayed depression). You see, until I check it and see the inevitable 'Non-winning ticket' notification flash up on the screen and the sad, sympathetic smile from the counter staff, I … could be a winner!!

Tattslotto: the everyman/everywoman dream. Pay your few bucks and you could win millions. I know it does happen. It happened to a woman where I work. I know her, spoke to her, may have even touched her once (does the good luck rub off?). She won a couple of million on Christmas eve, how cool is that?? She was nice and went off to do virtuous things like make cakes and look after her grandkids, so my envy didn't kick right in … well not straight away anyway.

Am I the only one who spends inordinate periods of time and skads of brain power mentally spending my fictitious - but always potential - tattslotto winnings?

I see myself as a benevolent recipient - if (when) I win, my family and friends win with me …well, if I win enough that is. After all, I gotta get a house and new car for me and the adult kid (so that's two houses and two cars then) ...

I don't want to live in anything too extravagant (but the kid does!), but I won’t compromise on quality, and it has to be fully environmentally friendly, so needs solar power and hot water generation, and a grey water/recycling system fully integrated with the habitat-conscious frog pond/threatened orchid-species marsh at the bottom of the garden …

And have a great vege-growing setup so I can be that slightly eccentric semi-retired gardener who distributes organic produce to friends and neighbours with largesse (I'm benevolent remember) …

And it needs to have natural (recycled or sustainably harvested) timber flooring throughout ...

And handmade (recycled or sustainably harvested) timber furniture so I can support some cottage craftsman (but not too long a wait on the furniture buddy, I need to use it, so craft fast!) …

And all natural-fibre fabrics, everywhere in the house and on me, so guess I'll just have to throw out (I mean give to the Salvos) the crap polyester-blend everything I own and replace it …

And my family and friends all need either their mortgages paid out or houses and new cars bought for them (whether they want them or not - I'm benevolent remember!).

It's all starting to look pretty expensive, and I haven't even started on funding the eco-friendly buy-as-you-rent community housing projects, building the family razor-wire-topped holiday/retirement compound (well, we'll need to keep all the money-grubbing free-loaders out once news gets around I have all this money!) …

That's it, I can't stand it any longer, I gotta go, gotta check the tatts ticket, I've got money waiting to be spent … I could be a winner!! But I gotta win it all - there's so much to do ... and I'm benevolent remember!!
