Radio presenter and entertainer Richard Marsland died on 6 December.
He rose to prominence as part of the Get This! team on Triple M alongside comedians Tony Martin and Ed Kavalee. The trio displayed pride in the quality of their work, a rare commodity in commercial radio, when they voluntarily lengthened their program for no more money to allow them to present the show as they wanted it, whilst meeting the station's demands for more music and advertising.
After Get This!, Marsland joined breakfast radio pairing Peter Helliar and Myf Warhurst, where his experience and his love of recorded sketches and parodies was notable. Fans and colleagues have joined in expressing their sorrow at his passing.
He will be sorely missed.
