What better combination is there than young love and booze?
In my early teen years I was, apparently, showing signs of...shall we say… unrest…. My mother, bless her heart, thought the best thing she could do for me was to find me a good school where I could get a sound education and make some nice friends.
There are times in life when one’s standards slip. Some would argue that this is a side-effect of a happy and contented marital life; no longer do we have a need to worry about the grooming and attention to detail necessary to ensnare a mate.

I used to know a guy who worked as the admitting nurse in the emergency room of one of Melbourne’s largest hospitals.
Once upon a time there was a splendiferous young man named Prince Charming Andrew (“Charming” for short) and a fair Princess (okay, okay…allow me a little poetic license… “bitter, disillusioned divorcee” just doesn’t seem to have the same romantic ring to it!!!) named Princess Buttercup.
I know a guy who knows a guy who knows a girl who went to London (I also know a guy who knows a girl who knows a guy who knows a girl who danced with the husband of Princess Margaret, but that’s a story for another time).
A few weeks ago, the better half and I decided that we would bulk buy tinned goods, to save buying them every week (or to prepare for the Nuclear winter...).
Every woman, at some stage in her life, will take up with a Bad Man. A man who will cheat on you, lie to you, put you down, try to drive a wedge between you and your girlfriends and then tell you that it’s all your own fault for being so difficult. It’s like a female rite of passage.
Ahh...true lurv...aint it grand...All that strolling hand in hand on the beach, drinking red wine in front of open fires, dancing naked in the rain (with perfect hair) and mutual multiple orgasms five times a day...it’s all good…
