I hate political correctness. I hate it a lot. A few minutes alone with the deeply politically correct can push me so far to the right that Attila the Hun and the Ku Klux Klan would be exchanging disapproving looks and muttering about how people can be so insensitive.

Some examples:

Just because you are a member of a minority group you do not have the right to beat your women, abuse your children or throw stones at the police. You are also not allowed to steal or vandalise my stuff. If you do any of these things you should go to prison. You should NOT get a cuddle and a ‘never mind, I know it’s all been so hard for you’ from the same magistrate who will cheerfully incarcerate the mentally ill without a second thought.

Women who have children are not holy. They do not deserve to get a whole lot of free shit only because they have a functional womb. If they are only willing to work part time and need to take 8 weeks holiday a year (plus another 20 carers days) they do not deserve the same pay and position as the woman (or man) who chooses not to have (or is unable to have) children and who is prepared to make their job their first priority.

Or, more to the point, the person who is willing to make their job their first priority should not be penalised because their employer can’t be seen to be discriminating against the working mother. Paid maternity leave is unfair and the biggest impact it’s going to have on the work force is that many employers are going to be reluctant to hire women of child bearing age.

Passive smoking does not kill people. It doesn’t even hurt people. It takes at least 20 years of heavy smoking to cause heart or lung damage. How could second hand smoke replicate this in anything less than 150 years? Shut up and get over yourselves.

All straight men look at women. Specifically, they look at tits and arses. This does not mean that all men are sex obsessed bastards or that they are going to madly try to grab hold of every nice rack they see. It doesn’t mean that all men only see women as sex objects or that they are trying to objectify them or diminish their power. It just means that they like to look at women. Nothing more.

The United Nations is a load of bollocks. They do nothing to aid peace or suffering humanity. What happened in Darfur is a searing indictment of the human race in general and the UN in particular. We should all hang our heads in shame that the world sat back and allowed that to happen with no more than a tsk tsk and a shake of our heads. Even after Rwanda and Burundi, we sat back and talked bullshit about sovereignty in Africa. Bollocks. Send the Brits back into Africa and have it run properly.

And on that subject, let's get real about all these former colonies descending into madness, genocide and kleptocracy. It is NOT the fault of the Europeans. It's true that the locals were treated like second class citizens in their own countries, but genocide at least was a big No No. And it's not just Africans who need a good solid outside dictatorship to keep the mass murder on the back-burner, just look at what happened in Yugoslavia...
