Write For Us!!!

E-mail Print

A funny thing happened to us on the way to publishing glory.

We started a small local magazine, and people loved it, and started writing for us! And the more people wrote (or drew) for us, the more people loved us, and loved the other people who were writing.

So much love, people, so much love!

Become a part of all that love, and bring some of your own to the party - write, draw, something! At this stage we can't afford to pay you in anything but platonic love, but if you're good enough and frequent enough (snerk!!) who knows, some day down the track we just might...

We publish opinion pieces, anecdotes, short stories, poems, cartoon and drawing. Have a browse around the website and you’ll get the general idea.

Deadline for the June issue is Monday 24th May, so get writing!

Some technical details for those who want them:

  • The preferred length for articles is around 900 words, but we will try to work with it if you really can't manage that. Each column is around 300 words, so multiples of 300 make layout much easier.
  • If you can send text in MS Word and pictures in JPEG formats we are more likely to have a look at it than if we have to mess around with conversions the day before deadline. Also, if you can't be bothered to check spelling and grammar we probably cant be bother to read it. Just sayin.
  • We don't promise to publish everything, but we do promise to respond to everything'. Eventually.
